Dream Job

Thinking about a dream job is a bit difficult to me, especially while I'm studying fine arts in a place like Chile, where art is not always good valued. It also happens that I do not know if there is such a defined field of work.

This is why I actually imagine myself doing several different things. Among the alternatives that come to mind is doing art classes at the university, although I know that it is not so easy to do it. I also imagine that I could have a vegan restaurant that also had a bookstore next to it, because I really like to cook and books. or maybe I would like to have a clothing store or something related to textiles.

But what I definitely would like to do is dedicate myself to what I study, textile art, I would like to exhibit in galleries, earn funds for my art, travel the world showing what I do. However, I would like my place of residence to be Santiago, the problem is that here in Chile you don't earn much money by exhibiting. That is why I would like to complement this work with one of those mentioned above.

I still have many possibilities and time to choose. meanwhile I would love to continue studying, maybe do a magister.

A photo that i love

Taking pictures since I have been studying Fine Arts has been a bit difficult for me, because I tend to push myself to make it a great photo, but anyway sometimes I try to let go of the fear of failure and I dare to capture some images.

This photo was taken by me, in the summer of 2020, while I was walking through Ancud with my partner. Although we are not in this photo, it reminds me a lot of how much fun we had on that first trip we had. We spent almost a month traveling through different parts of southern Chile and it was the first time that we spent so much time together and it was great opportunity to know each other better.

This photo also reminds me how good it feels to do things that entertain you without pushing you, this photo I took carelessly, I only took it because I loved how the colors of the car and the house combined perfectly. I felt so free at that time and I was having so much fun and that’s something that I need to remember sometimes.

I love this photograph and it takes me back to that trip to the south.

my favorite movie

Hello everyone, I hope you are very well, today I am going to talk to you about my favorite movie. I came across this movie when I was sixteen by chance changing channels while I was watching television at dawn, I didn't see it from the beginning so I didn't understand much at the time, but I liked the aesthetics, the plot and how confusing it was. I spent a lot of time googling, until I found it. This movie is called "The possible lives of mister nobody".

This film was released in 2009, it is from the director Jaco Van Dormael. it is about the life of a man, which we can see in different ages, stages and variants of his life. The interesting thing about this film is that it does not have a linear chronology, nor is it a story with a single point of view, but rather that the time and the possibilities that this man's life has been constantly crossed in the film. This is how within this plot you can see at least three different lives that this man could live, if he makes certain decisions. There are also several themes that emerge from the film, such as the question of what time is, the butterfly effect, how love works, among other existentialist questions.

What I love about this film is that it states that life has many paths and depending on the decisions we make, these cross paths and create new realities. Also that when choosing, you are leaving aside other options that existed, like doors that are closing. I also love how this movie represents in some way how our mind works, the mental process that exists behind a decision. How emotional this movie is captivates me. In certain way it has made me feel accompanied in difficult moments and that connection for me is very important in any artistic expression. And also i have to say that the art direction seems to me wonderful and very surreal, which I think fits very well with what the film proposes.

I definitely think it is a film that you could enjoy a lot and I highly recommend it to you.

Have a good day you all, greetings!
